Exiting changes to my website!

UPDATED MY WEBSITE!

Whats new?

I have been told that my website looks a bit empty, then i thought to myself, what does it need?
Then it came to me... People might be interested in seeing how much views the page got, well i am.

So I dived into a bit of php and javascript to create a page view counter. But this was not enough, i needed MORE! Then i started implementing a download counter, fixed the share links and also added a share counter.

Why don't you go check it out? Maybe you see something you like to implement on your own website, in that case you can contact me via the contact form on the main page.

I created a website on wix!
So i finally created a website! i decided to use wix because it has a simple form editor and is free.
I want to buy a domain, something like www.amdoverclockapp.com or what do you guys think? i would love some sugestions :), but unfortunitly i do not have the founds for that yet:)
Currently the address to my site is https://jacobuspetrussilve.wixsite.com/amd-overclock-app why dont you you check it out?
I think a website looks a bit more formal than a blog. And im pritty happy with the results:)

Fedora users! I am to the rescue! And mabey a few other users as well!

Finally working on supporting more linux distributions! I found the problem, thanks to google user Radomir ATANASOV(Check out his channel!)
So after a long day over team viewer and slaving over errors and rebuilds, I think i finally managed to figure out what the problem with the server is! If you got the following error :
  • You downloaded the app
  • You started the server
  • You connect to the PC
  • Bam! some sort of buffer error in the console/Server frozen and nothing hapens

Then i have found the solution!
There is a code error in the overdrive5 that does not load the .so library correctly i decided to scratch the whole overdrive5 and Re-Create the whole server from scratch in CPP using AMD Display Library(ADL).

I dont know about you guys! but I am exited  for the new update :) there will be two versions now, a linux version and a windows version.
There might be multiple linux destrobution versions, it all depends on how exactly ADL works.

I also started with a website on wix, I will give an update on that as soon as it got some progress.
My main focus is the server so that there are no compatibility issues :)

I am also planning to add a update feature to the server as well so you dont have to re-download the server every time the app updates.

Overclock your amd gpu from your phone! Fan control now supported :D

GOT Something for you guys! The app now supports fan control! And looks a bit more neat.

(Links at bottom)

So i finally got fan control implemented as well! Told you so lol :P

Fan control was not all i did, i made the app a bit more error free, by adding a few progress dialog's and alert dialog's! I also implemented a feature that will enable the app to automatically find the server IP address! Don't you think that is a lot better :P

Now for the server. I made the server send and receive updates a bit more frequently because i know there is a bit of a delay when you adjust the sliders on the app. I also fixed the restart and stop server buttons so it really stops and restarts the server.

Back to the app... The app notifies you now when it lost connection to the server. The server also has a fan speed chart now.

I am impressed lol that's a lot of new features!! I also removed the background image from the app to make the text a bit more clear.

I just want to thank Rosalie Goosen for making the icons on the app for me, i still need to contact her to make me a fan image. I would of done it myself buuuttt.... Lets just say people don't understand my art style :D lol.

Here is the screenshots to the new look and feel of the android app :

And a screenshot of the updated server :

Great news for linux users!

Great news for linux users! I moved away from fglrx :D

So i finally got the overdrive 5 compiled in linux and started using amd sdk :D

For users that does not know what that means... Basically I received a lot of feedback from amd users saying that their GPU's are not compatible with fglrx.

Hope you guys can enjoy the app like every one else now :D

This also means that i can start implementing that pesky (not implemented yet) fan control in the app :D

So next i am planning to change the background of the app to gray-gradient and implement fan control like i mentioned earlier.

Once again here are the links to make your life a bit more easier :D

UPDATED SERVER! Got a brand new look!

UPDATED SERVER! Got a brand new look!

After long and hard work I finally managed to improve the server UI to a more friendly interface and it looks SEXY :P (Links at bottom of page)

I think this is wayyyyy better than the previouse one!

Here is a few screenshots :
The main interface :
Here you can see basic process information in progress line form, i think this looks good, why dont you give me some feedback? Maybe something you think would look better? Every bit of input will give you a better looking UI :)

Host IP address display :
You can view the host ip address now by clicking on "Host"->"Show Ip"
This is for users that does not know how to view it via cmd or network proporties and its ALOT easier than using those stuff.

Restart and stop server :
I noticed that the previous server's stop button did not work correctly but it works 100% now, there is also a restart option if you experience some problems.

Reset UI :
This option simply resets the progress lines to a clean slate so it would start to redraw it.

Hope you guys like this update took a lot of work and time :D
Please comment if you want to ask something or if you just want to say something :P
Also leave a like please :)
Be kind and dont forget to share :P #ShareOrDie lol

Overclock your GPU from your android device

Ever wanted a Afterburner alternative on Linux for AMD graphics cards?

Well so did i after looking around for hours, I couldn't find anything with a UI !
So I decided to create my own Afterburner alternative but with a cool twist.

I decided that just an app is not good enough especially if you are playing a game and quickly want to check the GPU temperature then you would need to minimize the game and go check out afterburner.

I know there are a few applications to show the GPU detail in games but that comes in the way some time.

So to the point, I created an MSI Afterburner alternative for Linux and windows but also created it as an App for android. So if you want to check your GPU temperature or want to crank up your GPU clocking you can now simply do it using the app. :D

You simply run a server on the host computer and connect the app via wifi.

Here is some screen-shots from the App :

And here is a screen-shots from the server :

As for now the App is not on the play store because i do not have the finances to pay the registration fee :(

So i implemented a GUI to the server, not much yet but i am still thinking how i can improve it.

Its not really like a server has to have a amazing GUI but at least you don’t have to run it from the command line anymore :D

Hope this helps you guys :D

Just remember if you find any bugs... Its not a bug its a feature :D

So whats next?

So you might be wondering whats next in the AMD Overclock android app?

Well if you downloaded the app(Witch would be an excelent idea trust me, you can trust me i meen look at the awesome UI. Haha joking but really you should check it out) you would notice a fan speed control thats not implemented yet, I dont think i am going to work on that for now.

I was thinking somewhere more in the line of a server UI, because the console is a bit dull dont you think :) I am going to start work on the server UI today. Nothing major just to get rid of that "Hacking" feeling when you start the server lol.

I think the server would be updated in about 2-3 hours if i dont find something wierd in the code, as programmers always do#NotABugAFeacure. So i hope you guys will enjoy the new server UI.

  2. Select open cmd/command window here
  3. Type in java -jar <with the server file name.jar> and press enter.
